I grew up in a challenging environment where my childhood was filled with hardships. In that time I had sworn I would never become a Christian. The concept of an all-powerful God who loved me seemed impossible through all I had seen. On top of that, I had never met a Christian who lived a changed life, so was it even real?
However, as I grew older, I encountered something that chipped away at my resistance. I saw love and joy in the lives of people who were part of a local church. There was a light in their eyes and a warmth in their actions that intrigued me. I felt drawn to this community. I started attending church, initially out of curiosity, but soon found myself deeply moved by the teachings and the genuine kindness of the people around me. It was in this environment that I encountered the transformative love of Jesus Christ. My heart softened and I made the decision to become a Christian. As my faith grew, I felt a strong desire to share the Gospel and help others experience the same love and transformation I had found. However, I didn't know where to start or how to effectively communicate this life-changing message. It was then that I discovered Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). The moment I learned about CEF, I felt an undeniable calling from God to work with them. Through CEF, I found a clear and impactful way to share the Gospel, particularly with children. This organization equipped me with the tools and confidence I needed to step into ministry. My work with CEF has been incredibly fulfilling, and I have seen firsthand the power of God's love in the lives of the children and families I have had the privilege to serve. Looking back, I am amazed at how God took the broken pieces of my past and used them for His glory. The hardships that once seemed impossible are now testimonies of His grace and redemption. I am grateful for the journey that brought me to where I am today, and I am excited to continue serving Him through the ministry of CEF. Bradley Lemmon Local Coordinator of CEF of the Tri-Cities
